EARLY CHILDCARE EDUCATOR - MONTESSORI
Availability: ASAP
Type: Permanent Full-Time
Job Summary
To provide quality childcare to the children under their supervision, according to the Government of Alberta licensing act and the policies and procedures of Montessori Children’s House.
Job Responsibilities
- Meet the needs of the children through interesting and meaningful activities and lessons.
- Participate in and maintain monthly program planning incorporating children’s interests and seasonal themes.
- Monitor and record children's activities and interactions.
- Maintain a patient, caring, loving attitude toward children, parents and other staff.
- Clean and maintain the environment and materials within the classroom.
- Report all incidents or accidents to the Director.
- Complete on-the-job learning and additional training in the Montessori method and other techniques.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Skills:
- Punctual.
- Interpersonal Communication Skills.
- Enjoys working with children aged 2 – 6.
- Open to learning.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Educator Level 1 or 2 or 3
- Valid First Aid Certificate with AED
- Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Bonus Assets:
- Knowledge or experience in the Montessori Method.
- Experience in child care.
- Personal skills or interests that can be shared with children.

This is an on-site job in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. We do not offer sponsorship at this time. A valid Early Childhood Educator Level in Alberta is required for this position.
