- Position Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining residential rental properties, completing repairs, preparing vacant units for new tenants, and responding to maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner.
- This position is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, reliable, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
- Responsibilities:
- Complete general maintenance and repair work in residential properties.
- Perform plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, toilets, sinks, shut-off valves, and clearing drains.
- Diagnose and repair common maintenance issues.
- Complete unit turnovers including painting, drywall repairs, flooring repairs, and minor carpentry.
- Perform preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls when required.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Travel to various properties, including occasional out-of-town locations.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, office staff, and contractors.
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in residential property maintenance, renovations, or a related trade.
- Strong knowledge of general repairs and handyman work.
- Plumbing experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with drywall, painting, flooring, and carpentry is an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Physically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, and performing manual labour.
- Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to travel out of town for scheduled maintenance projects when required.
- Maintenance Assistant
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Location: Based locally with occasional travel to surrounding communities.
- Position Summary:
- We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual who is interested in learning the property maintenance trade. This is an entry-level position that provides hands-on training while working alongside experienced maintenance staff. The successful candidate should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
- Assist experienced maintenance technicians with repairs and renovations. Help complete unit turnovers including cleaning, painting, patching walls, and basic repairs. Carry materials and tools to job sites. Assist with plumbing, carpentry, flooring, and general maintenance projects.
- Perform grounds maintenance and seasonal property upkeep. Help maintain company vehicles and equipment. Travel to various properties, including occasional out-of-town work. Maintain safe and clean work areas. Learn maintenance skills through on-the-job training.
- Qualifications:
- No previous maintenance experience is required. Construction or labour experience is considered an asset. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Requirements:
- Valid driver's license is required. Ability to travel out of town for scheduled work when required. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions. Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company.
