Full job description

Help Build Better Software That Improves Human Movement

At Kinetisense, we develop innovative movement assessment technology used by healthcare professionals, rehabilitation specialists, performance coaches, and wellness organizations. Our platform combines motion tracking, biomechanics, reporting, and clinical workflows to help professionals make better decisions through objective movement analysis.

We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to elevate software quality across our entire development lifecycle. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll help shape our quality engineering practices while working closely with developers, product managers, and domain experts.

If you're passionate about building scalable QA processes, improving release confidence, and mentoring others, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As our Quality Engineering Lead, you'll help move quality earlier into the development process while remaining actively involved in testing and release validation.

You'll:

  • Lead and continuously improve our quality engineering strategy
  • Build risk-based test plans and regression strategies
  • Perform hands-on manual and exploratory testing
  • Coordinate release candidate validation and release readiness
  • Work closely with developers to improve testability and reduce defects early
  • Help determine what should be automated and what should remain manual
  • Improve regression coverage and release confidence
  • Create reusable test documentation and quality standards
  • Mentor junior QA team members and help grow our quality culture
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and domain experts to validate complex workflows

What We're Looking For

You have experience improving software quality—not just executing test cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Several years of professional Software QA or Quality Engineering experience
  • Strong experience with manual, exploratory, regression, smoke, and acceptance testing
  • Experience creating test plans and release validation strategies
  • Strong understanding of risk-based testing
  • Experience working closely with software developers in Agile environments
  • Excellent defect investigation and communication skills
  • Understanding of software test automation principles
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and mentoring abilities

Nice to Have

Experience with one or more of the following is an asset:

  • Healthcare, biomechanics, rehabilitation, or movement analysis software
  • Unity, C#, or .NET applications
  • API and integration testing
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Test automation frameworks
  • Analytics, reporting, or data-intensive applications
  • Motion tracking, computer vision, or camera-based systems

What Success Looks Like

In this role you'll help:

  • Improve release confidence
  • Reduce late-cycle defects
  • Increase regression coverage
  • Improve collaboration between QA and Development
  • Build sustainable testing processes
  • Create maintainable quality documentation
  • Develop a practical automation roadmap
  • Mentor and grow our QA capability

Why Join Kinetisense?

You'll have the opportunity to influence how quality is built into every stage of software development—not just at release time.

We offer the opportunity to:

  • Own and shape the Quality Engineering function
  • Work with an innovative movement assessment platform
  • Collaborate with a talented engineering team
  • Solve challenging technical problems
  • Make a direct impact on customer success and product quality
  • Continue growing your technical and leadership skills
