Full job description
Bricklayer helper:
● Job Setup/Tear-Down:
-Unload/load materials and equipment
-Set up mixing station
-Set up and load scaffold
-Taking down scaffold
-Build hoarding (if necessary)
-Final clean up
● Day-to Day Operations:
-Ensure safety program is implemented at all times
-Equipment inspections, follow tag-out procedures
-Maintaining equipment
-Mixing mortar
-Cutting masonry units with masonry saw
-Supplying masons with necessary materials
-General housekeeping/clean-up
-Forklift/ equipment operation/certification required
-Washing masonry
-Clean mortar/concrete mixer
-Tarping when/where necessary
-Jointing masonry if opportunity arises
-General labour
● Also including:
-Pouring concrete/zonolite
-Installing vapor barrier/flashing
-Installing angle iron
-Installing wall ties
These tasks will be included in the job description but not limited to the full scope of ex-
pectations.
Helpers will be expected to work longer hours than masons to ensure productivity levels Time lost due to weather act. may be required to be made up on weekends.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
