Plains is seeking Pipeline Technicians to join their team in Regina, Saskatchewan. These professionals will operate and maintain pipeline facilities, ensuring the safe and accurate transportation and storage of petroleum products. What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience at the prior level
- Ability to speak, read, and write English and perform basic math
- Ability to read and interpret pipeline maps, technical drawings, and schematics
- Experience with tools and equipment such as compressors, pumps, mixers, hydrometers, centrifuges, sulfur machines, gauge lines, temperature and H2S monitors, line locators, SCBA, fire extinguishers, and scrapers
- Skilled in product measurement including gauging, metering, meter proving, and product sampling procedures
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, etc.)
- Knowledge of facility work authorization permits, Emergency Response Plans, SPCC plans, operations manuals, and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with federal, provincial, and industry regulations
- Outstanding safety record
- Ability to complete company Haz-Mat training, required DOT operator qualifications, and mandatory safety training
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid drivers’ license with a clean abstract
- Cleared criminal history and satisfactory reference checks
- Compliance with drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment screening
