Responsibilities
We are looking for Outreach Workers to support adults with developmental disabilities in living rich, fulfilling lives within their communities. This isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity for building lasting relationships, celebrating achievements big and small, and helping individuals thrive on their own terms.
Supports are provided in home or in the community: daytime, evenings and weekends and hours are flexible. We are looking for full time, part time and casual workers.
Requirements
- Clear Police Clearance (Vulnerable Sector Check and 6 months or newer) is required.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
- Access to and use of a vehicle for all shifts with a minimum of $1,000,000 insurance and with the ability to transport clients is required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- First Aid and CPR, Professional Assault Crisis Training (Pro-ACT), medication delivery, abuse reporting protocol would be an asset but if the candidate does not have this specific training, it will be provided.
- Previous experience in the Human Services field would be an asset.
