Accounts Payable Specialist
Lone Tree Inc.
Lethbridge, Alberta
The Accounts Payable Specialist will primarily be responsible to maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all accounts payables activities for all Lone Tree Inc. companies. This position will provide support to a team of financial professionals, a group of companies and real estate developments, and will report directly to the Accounting Supervisor with a focused team approach. The role will be based out of Lethbridge and may require splitting time between different locations. We are seeking a professional who will have integrated responsibilities in accounting and administration, and who wants a highly rewarding career.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors
- Act as the first line contact with vendors or clients regarding billing issues, and assist to resolve
- Record all business transactions
- Gain appropriate approvals and enter invoices for payment, match invoices with purchase orders, and check for accuracy
- Organize filing of all appropriate documents, both paper and electronic
- Prepare monthly submissions for accounting and monthly remittances
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
Education, Skills & Experience
- Three years of accounting / accounts payable experience
- Experience with Great Plains Dynamics and QuickBooks would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Ability to analyze and present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets, and forms
- Ability to read, understand, and calculate financial figures such as discounts, interest rates, proportions, percentages, and taxes
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls
- Meticulous with numbers
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- High level of integrity and excellent work ethic
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team

Salary commensurate with Education, Experience, Qualifications and Skillset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $41,000.00-$44,000.00 per year
