Position Details
The Faculty of Arts and Science requires the services of a qualified Administrative Support III in a continuing position, beginning as soon as possible. This position is full-time from September to April each year, with half-time hours from May-August.
We are seeking an independent, service-oriented individual who will take initiative and contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Arts and Science Administrative Support Team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support for Arts and Science academic programs and will initially be assigned primary responsibility for support for the Departments of Indigenous Studies and the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics.

Position Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:

- A two-year Office Administration or comparable diploma and a minimum of three years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven administrative skills (including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and survey Software, basic financial transactions, and web site updating)
- Great attention to detail and accuracy are required
- Excellent communication
- Organizational, record-keeping, filing and telephone skills
The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with interruptions and overlapping deadlines, exercise superior independent judgement, and learn multiple university management systems, while maintaining effective working relationships within the University community.
Preference will be given to candidates who have familiarity with the University of Lethbridge programs and systems, and experience working in a post‑secondary environment. An undergraduate degree may be an asset in this position.
