Southern Aero Aviation is currently seeking an Aircraft Refuler for 35-40 hours per week.
Summary:
This is a customer service/technical position that is responsible for supporting all ground operations for inbound and outbound aircraft, flight crews and passengers. It requires the following: good decision-making skills, the ability to follow company procedures; flexibility in a dynamic working environment; as well as possess good interpersonal skills. Responsibilities and Duties
· Marshal aircraft
· Insure aircraft are chocked and secured
· Load/unload baggage
· Assist pilots with aircraft pre and post flight services
· Operate ground support equipment
· Assist other departments as required including grounds and facility maintenance
· Cleaning and other tasks as assigned
· Provide basic security to people and property
· Direct people, drivers and flight crews on ramp area
· Fuel and Deice Aircraft
· Other duties and tasks as required
Qualifications and Skills
· Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
· Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, direct interface, over telephone and in writing
· Ability to make decisions with multiple objectives
· Follow oral and written directions; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; and maintain good working relationships with others
· Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including but not limited to: facility cleaning, vehicle washing
· Ability to work without direct management supervision
· Must be comfortable with working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions
· Must be available to work flexible hours, including holidays, mornings, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
· Prior experience in forklift or heavy equipment operation is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Lift baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft, up to 75lbs
· Bending and stooping to pick up tow bars and other equipment, up to 75 lbs
· Standing and walking for extended periods of time
· Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.65-$20.00 per hour
