SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for a motivated Refrigeration Apprentice to join our Industrial Service team in Lethbridge, AB. Our core business is Industrial Refrigeration, Arena Recreational, and Cold Storage (Ammonia systems). We offer an excellent work environment, opportunity for advancement, and a full benefit package
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service and installation of welded, threaded, and/or brazed refrigeration piping systems.
- Troubleshoot refrigeration electrical control systems and repair them as required.
- Perform start-ups, inspection, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of refrigeration and compression systems, and the correction of system problems.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and manufacturer instructions to independently construct, assemble and install equipment.
- Demonstrate the highest level of customer service including prompt, friendly, competent, and ethical service.
- Work safely, observing all safety rules and regulations, and ensuring a safe environment for others affected by the work.
- Work well as part of a group as we offer a strong team environment.
- Complete all paperwork and reports as required by the customer and Startec on a timely and consistent basis to help ensure invoicing is completed in a timely fashion.
- Perform all work through our Quality Control and Health & Safety program.

- Other duties that may arise during the performance of the job function.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and functional testing
- Drug & Alcohol tests are required.
- At least a 1st year registered apprentice (Refrigeration)
- Basic computer skills required (Outlook and Internet Explorer)
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Clean Driver's abstract
- Ability to work independently and on-call.
- Ability to work out of town. Travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
