Description

This position is a 10-month position that will be approximately 20 to 24 hours per week with some flexibility .

The successful candidate will model a strong understanding of early childhood development and supporting children and their families at home and in the community with communication, regulation, and fine and gross motor skill development. To fulfill this role, the candidate will plan and implement play sessions throughout the community. The position also could include supporting the Community Early Learning Team with materials prep and organization along with data entry. The position will begin with the 2024-2025 school year with some summer hours before school starts and may include evenings and Saturdays .

Skills and Experience

  • Valid related Diploma or Certificate and/or related experience with a strong foundational knowledge of early childhood development, Early Childhood Educator, Level 3 preferred.
  • Strong understanding and interest in relevant research.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the MHPSD vision, structure, policies and procedures.
  • Valid drivers' license and access to reliable vehicle.
  • Working knowledge of computers with ability to learn new platforms efficiently (Microsoft Office, Google, Canva, Eventbrite, Edsby, EdForms).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • 10 month position, paid over 12
  • Benefits eligible
  • Position is based on a 37.5 hour base week; somewhat flexible schedule working approximately 20-24 hours per week
