Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Taxi Dispatcher to manage the coordination and communication between drivers and customers. This role involves efficiently dispatching taxi drivers to passengers, ensuring safe and timely transportation, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatching: Efficiently assign and route taxi drivers to passengers based on location, traffic conditions, and driver availability using dispatch software and GPS systems.
• Customer Communication: Handle inbound customer calls, provide information on fares, estimated arrival times, and resolve customer inquiries or complaints.
• Driver Support: Maintain continuous communication with drivers to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, and provide assistance with any issues encountered during their routes.
• Monitor Traffic and Weather Conditions: Stay updated on real-time traffic, weather, and road conditions to optimize routing and minimize delays.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, customer details, trips, and driver activities for tracking purposes and reporting.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all drivers follow safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during the service. Address any potential safety concerns promptly.
• Problem-Solving: Resolve any issues that may arise, such as customer complaints, traffic-related delays, or driver emergencies, with professionalism and quick thinking.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other dispatchers, drivers, and the operations team to ensure smooth workflow and effective coordination.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in dispatch, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with computer systems, dispatch software, and GPS technology.
• Familiarity with local traffic patterns and geographic area.
• Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while operating dispatch equipment.
• Occasional need to lift or move office equipment or materials.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$15.50 per hour
