One of our major printings clients is looking for a Front Desk Representative
Hours: Various Shifts
Length: 12 months contract with the possibility of extension
Location : Lethbridge, AB.
DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for satisfying customer requirements for colour, black & white reprographics, and print finishing within a single customer location. Production of requested jobs on colour and black and white digital printer equipment.
In this role, the individual is responsible for performing printing operations / services in the production process. This position works individually and with other members of the production team to facilitate quality control, so the Customer receives a perfect job. Assisting all customers in a manner that meets or exceeds client’s expectations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Consult with clients to determine best method of printing and finishing
· Determine output requirements, machine set-up, print and check proofs (may include scanning and minimal document manipulation), run job, remove output and deliver output.
· Finish projects using cutting, drilling, binding, folding and shrink wrap equipment.
· Receive supplies and verify packing list matches actual goods received.
· Clean reprographic, colour, and change supplies.
· Monitor and manage supplies.
· Record meter reads, process production forms and maintain records.
· Monthly inventory count.
· Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: (if applicable to the print shop)
· Experience with the following equipment & software would be an asset
· B&W and colour printer
· Wide Format colour printer
· Intermediate use of MS Office, Adobe and other relevant software
· Demonstrate full knowledge of digital print equipment, service offerings and processes.
· Able to operate large centralized digital equipment
· Able to detect production inconsistencies and quality issues
· Math skills (multiplication, division, percentages)
· Operation of PC applications in networked environment
· Able to lift and move 50 pounds
· Able to read, write and follow instructions
· Listen, understand and communicate effectively
· Willingness to learn and take direction
· Able to work with others in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision
· Problem-solving basic issues to complete production, delivery, and output requirements
