The Garbage Truck Driver - Picker Truck/Container Repair Technician is responsible for;
  • Underground collection bag/container that is operated by a use of a 5-ton crane using a remote control.
  • Waste and recycling collection services in various commercial sites to ensure that the materials are transported and disposed of in an appropriate manner to designated transfer station or landfill.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs for equipment and items on the yard.
  • Daily cart and container washing.
  • Painting containers as well as general repair and labor around the yard.
  • Perform welding and repair of trash/compactor containers, compactor repairs and trash trucks metal repair in our fleet.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
  • Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks and work as a team.
  • This job is very physical and works outside in all weather conditions.

What We Need From our Drivers:
  • Class 3 driver’s license (Newly licensed drivers welcome to apply)
  • Clean CVOR and Abstract
  • Class 3 Driving experience an asset
  • 2-3 years of Class 3 driving experience preferred.
