We are looking for a reliable, hard-working person to join the kitchen staff at the Riverview Golf Club. The restaurant offers a fun and relaxed work environment and, as a member of our team, you will receive free golf and discounted meals throughout the season.
Please note this is a seasonal (May-September) position. You must be available to work evenings (shifts start at 3:30pm), weekends, and holidays. 20-40 hours available per week. Salary is based on experience and abilities. End-of-season bonus offered.
Ensure that food is prepared consistently, to a high quality within a timely manner.
Be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Multi-task: employees will be called upon to perform any and all kitchen duties as deemed necessary. This includes prep work, cleaning, dish-washing, and other kitchen-related tasks.
Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after every shift.
Be responsible for the general organization and cleanliness of the kitchen.
Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, grill, etc.).
Previous kitchen experience an asset.
Experience with preparing food for large groups or banquets would be an asset.
Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required.
Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain.
Must be confident and able to work unsupervised.
Must be available to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
Must possess good communication skills and a positive team attitude.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
