Description
Paradise Vally Golf Course is looking for a Part-Time Handy Man/Mechanic as well as experienced, Full-time Grounds Maintenance staff for he 2023 season. Successful candidates will help in the daily set-up and maintenance of the golf course, irrigation and grounds.
Daily tasks may include:
- Operation of various types of turf equipment
- A variety of duties associated with daily course set up and maintenance such as mowing, pin setting, watering, daily rounds, cleaning duties, digging, line-trimming, etc.
- Landscape maintenance
- Special projects
- For our Handy Man/Mechanic, repair and maintenance of equipment; assistance with building repairs and general maintenance tasks.
Desired Abilities:
- Strong work ethic, reliable and willing to learn new tasks
- Strong and physically capable, over the age of 18
- A preference to work outdoors
- Ability to communicate and follow verbal and written instructions
- Motivated to ensure the success of our team and the ability to work with a diverse group of people
- An understanding of customer service and dealing with customers
- Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, split shifts, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of golf and the rules of golf is an asset
- Previous experience working on a golf course is an asset
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
