Working under the direction of the Health and Safety Manager you will
- Provide H&S services to employees
- Support the delivery of STC health and safety policies, practices and programs
- Process and assist with incident reports and investigations
- Assist in managing and scheduling OHS appointments and follow-up's
- Prepare paperwork and ensure completion, including filing, for the Health and Safety department.
- Proposing and developing creative, HS solutions that make the job easier for all parties
- Foster a culture of safety among all departments
- Any Ad Hoc duties assigned by management
Job Requirements
- 1 Year HS/Admin Experience would be considered an asset
- 2 Years Health Care Aide, LPN or RN education/experience would be considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of relevant labor laws, regulations and practices
- Fluent on Office and able to work on other software/website platforms
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid First Aid with CPR and AED
