Medicine Hat College’s Human Resources department is accepting applications for a full-time, regular Human Resources Advisor.
A little about the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resource Advisor is responsible for providing a range of human resource services to employees and managers within MHC in accordance with employment legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies and procedures. This operational position assists with employment offers and onboarding, the full cycle of recruitment activities, and employee learning and development programs. It provides administrative support to the HR department and Director, including records management and filing in the Human Resources department, note-taking, and serves as the first point of contact for inquiries.

As a successful applicant you'll have:
- A certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- Two (2) years related experience, preferably in an automated HRIS and union environment.
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computers, Microsoft 365, HRIS, and web applications.
- Ability to interpret collective agreements, polices, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work well with team members in an environment with pressing deadlines.
Start Date: December 1, 2026
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Annual Salary: $57,557 gross
