Pad-Car Mechanical is looking for a Journeyman Plumber to join our growing team in Medicine Hat, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and is looking to grow their career while taking ownership of plumbing and mechanical installations on assigned projects.
We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently while also supporting and leading others on the job site.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures
- Gas fitting
- Install, repair, and maintain hydronic heating and chilled water systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes, fittings, and fixtures
- Test plumbing and mechanical systems for leaks and proper function
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to code
- Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support and mentor apprentices or junior team members as needed
Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumber certification required
- Experience in commercial, residential, and/or industrial plumbing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Proficiency with plumbing tools, equipment, and materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing repetitive tasks
Additional assets
· Boiler servicing and repair experience
· Working knowledge of hydronic heating and chilled water systems including system controls
· Plumbing service experience

Based in Medicine Hat, Alberta, we provide complete in-house design engineering, plumbing, steam fitting, gas fitting, HVAC, and sheet metal installation services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00-$41.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
