Job Title
Learning Facilitator I - Indigenous Student Success Cohort
Position Details
The Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a Learning Facilitator I position for the Indigenous Student Success Cohort (ISSC), to begin as early as July 15, 2022. This is a three-year Limited Term position, which will be full-time from mid-August to mid-May, each year, and half-time from mid-May to mid-August.
Reporting to the Coordinator of the ISSC, the Learning Facilitator will provide culturally relevant support and guidance for Indigenous students during their first year at the University and as they move into regular programs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Academic and cultural support to ISSC students;
  • Provision of student strategies such as study skills, course work organization, time management, etc. to enable learning and academic success;
  • Referrals to internal and external services, where appropriate;
  • Working with instructors to facilitate course delivery;
  • Attending classes or assisting with tutorials;
  • Serving as a liaison among students, instructors, Iikaisskini staff, Mastercard Foundation Navigators, and various Indigenous communities.
Position Qualifications
Applicants must hold at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and have experience with Indigenous cultures and organizations.
