Online Locators is a leader in underground line locating playing an integral role in keeping industry workers safe. Family is at the core of what we do as a small town family run company. Located in east central Alberta we operate across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
We are currently seeking 1-2 experienced locating assistants to join our team. Although experience is an asset we are willing to train the right candidate.
Job Description:
Are you an energetic, positive individual that enjoys a challenge and the outdoors? We are searching for people like you to become part of our team. Must be able to work out of town and throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.
All work is based on project/client schedule. Must be able to work out of town. Hotels and accommodations provided by Online Locators.
What Does the Job Entail:
- Assist to locate buried utilities
- Mark lines with lath
- Prepare and complete daily tickets and maps
- Maintaining equipment
- Communicating with employees and clients
- Physical activity in various weather conditions required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate
- Organization & communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors, job requires physical activity including continuous walking
- Must be willing to commute to various jobsites
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Ability to operate snow machine is considered an asset

Once hired, the candidate will undergo additional training and orientations. Wage will be based on experience. Overtime paid after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week.
Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Test will be required. Candidate must hold the following safety tickets : H2S, Standard First Aid, CSO, Ground Disturbance Level 2, CSTS 2020.
