Description:

The Allied Health Manager - Occupational Therapy (OT), Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team (ESD), and Home Rehabilitation Team (HRT) is a leadership/management role in the South Zone Allied Health portfolio. The Allied Health Manager - OT, Stroke ESD and HRT reports directly to the Director Allied Health and works collaboratively within the Allied Health leadership team. The position is responsible and accountable for leading the OT, ESD, and HRT services for adult clients across the continuum of health services in Lethbridge and surrounding rural communities. The role supports the vision, mission, values and business plan of AHS in strategic planning, delivery and evaluation of client-centered occupation. The Allied Health Manager - OT, Stroke ESD and HRT provides expert counsel to the Director Allied Health on best practice in Occupational Therapy. This position is responsible for the management of human resources and finances as well as other operational assignments. Leading Occupational Therapists and Therapist Assistants to do their best work through occupation is a major focus.

Required Qualifications:Must have demonstrated leadership experience, clinical and supervisory experience, and abilities as a capacity builder, collaborator, change agent, and advocate. Competent in leading self, engaging others, achieving results, building relationships and championing system change. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Master’s degree is preferred as is leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
