A day in the life of the Material Handler and Order Desk Express Teammate:

As the Material Handler Teammate, you will be tasked with overseeing all product in the warehouse; receiving, shipping, pulling customer orders, processing customer hold product and communicating to our customers when their orders are complete. In addition to this you will be cross trained on taking customer orders at the order desk. As the business needs evolve the ideal candidate will evolve with the business and remain a foundational member. Either as part of the sales team, operations team, or warehouse team. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all product movements in the warehouse, take ownership of the product as it moves from supplier, through our location and into the hands of our customers, this includes:
  • Follow all Health and Safety guidelines while performing the below functions
  • Operating a lift truck and/or forklift both indoors and in the yard
  • Unloading vendor shipments or customer returns, noting any damaged material and discrepancies on vendor packing slip
  • Keeping organized records of receiving documentation
  • Assign product to correct bin locations and assist in the creation of a superior bin location system
  • Manage and process all receiving of product, ensuring product is put in its correct place and customers are notified when the order is complete
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse when needed. This would include picking and shipping, inventory control, operations, and customer order entry and answering phones

What we are looking for from you:

  • 3-5 years of relevant warehousing and sales experience
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and ability to work in varying extremes; busy season vs. slow season
  • Positive attitude and results oriented mindset
  • Work well in a team-based environment
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs
  • Valid Driver’s License
