We have an exciting opportunity for a Seasonal Full-time Municipal Worker III Equipment Operator to join our team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have a variety of opportunities for full-time Seasonal Municipal Worker IIIs. Duties are varied and may include the following, operating packers, skid steer, reclaimer, and single axle truck; mowing, traffic control and other related duties. You may be required to operate other vehicles and equipment used in road maintenance and repair. You have experience working outdoors and in a range of weather conditions.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, dependable and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You can work independently, take direction, show initiative, and enjoy working in all weather conditions. Compensation for the position is based on education & experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will ideally hold:

• Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)
• A valid Alberta Class 3Q motor vehicle operator’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience operating packers, single axle trucks, reclaimer, and other equipment used in road maintenance and repair is essential.
• The following valid safety certificates would be an asset: Standard First Aid certificate with CPR; WHMIS; Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Flagging.
• A management approved equivalent of education and experience may be considered.

This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen after a conditional offer of employment is made.
