Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Family Medical Clinic

Job Overview: Our reputable family medical clinic is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner in our clinic, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and patient-centered care to individuals of all ages. Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough health assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.
Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.

Treatment Planning and Management: Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
Prescribe medications and recommend therapeutic interventions.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient response and evolving healthcare needs.

Preventive Care and Health Promotion: Provide guidance on preventive care measures, including vaccinations, screenings, and lifestyle modifications.
Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Conduct routine wellness exams and screenings for various age groups.

Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Collaborate with specialists and community resources as needed for comprehensive patient management.

Patient Education and Counseling: Offer clear and effective communication to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment plans.
Provide counseling on lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and overall wellness.
Foster a supportive and informative environment for patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in Alberta.
• Proficiency in electronic (EMR) systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: $34.84-$84.99 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
