Police Administrative Support – Court Liaison & Disclosure
Lethbridge Police Service (Full time Permanent)

The Lethbridge Police Service is currently accepting applications for one (or more) full time permanent Police Administrative Support – Court Liaison and Disclosure. This position is responsible for providing a variety of administrative work in support of the LPS including processing files of a confidential and sensitive nature on police information systems.
This permanent full-time position falls under the protection of a collective agreement associated to the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 70 contract. Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Wage: $35.32 |2022 Rate
As the Police Administrative Support – Court Liaison and Disclosure you will:
- Review police files for court appearances, processing court documents ensuring all pertinent information is included
- Provide Court Liaison functions onsite and at the Court House, including but not limited to scheduling court appearances and facilitating document exchange with appropriate stakeholders
- Responsible for preparing files for Crown Disclosure
- Act as a liaison between LPS, the Crown and the Court House
- Review memos received from the Crown Prosecutor and effecting responses
- Responsible for creating all required information for Court or JIR hearings
- Attendance at Court to schedule trial dates for LPS members
- Ensure all time-sensitive court packages are completed on shift
- Ensure committal warrants are faxed to Lethbridge Correctional Centre
- Swearing of information before a Justice of the Peace
As the successful candidate you will have:
- You must possess a working knowledge of office policies and procedures, including computer systems and software including but not limited to Niche, CPIC, and JOIN
- Ability to operate relevant office equipment and enter data rapidly and accurately
- Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with the public and stakeholders
- A high school education, including or supplemented by courses in computer software and at least one year related experience is required, or an equivalent combination thereof.
The successful candidate is required to consent to a police security clearance, which includes the voluntary completion and submission of a personal disclosure form (lifestyle questionnaire), criminal and police records check, reference checks and truth verification through polygraph examination.

- Completion of a Psychometric Assessment
- Security Clearance Check will be conducted
- Successful completion of a Polygraph Examination Procedure may be scheduled for all non-Lethbridge Police Service applicants.
- A successful candidate(s) will be selected and offered the position
- All components of the selection process will be administered, scored, evaluated and interpreted in a fair and uniform manner
- Duration of the process may take up to approximately two months.
