The Program Assistant III provides a wide range of clerical support. The Clerk III performs these tasks in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 408 St. Michael's Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.

Additional Required Qualifications:One-year recent catering knowledge or experience in an institutional setting. Ability to demonstrate mathematical competency in relation to food and labor costing, weights and measures, metric conversions, portion control and profit loss analysis. Proficiency in computer applications required: spreadsheets, desktop publishing, word processing, database management within a windows environment (MS Office preferred). Experience in compiling financial information. Ability to read, write, clearly speak and understand English. Food Handler’s Certificate. Post Secondary training in Nutrition and Food Service Administration, Cooking or Dietary Technology or equivalent education. Customer Service coursework. Strong interpersonal skills and training in customer relations. Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines. Critical thinking skills and confidence to make decisions to ensure patient safety. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
