Position: Recruitment and Scheduling Supervisor
Department: DaCapo Disability Services
Hours: This is a full time salaried position (35.0 hours per week)
Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm
Rotational On-Call
Position Overview:
This position works in a time sensitive, deadline driven environment, and functions as a member of the DaCapo Supervisory team. A primary responsibility is scheduling employees in accordance with established processes, policies and procedures. This person is responsible for the direct supervision of frontline employees to ensure community access, residential and employment services are provided in accordance with established standards. In addition, this person will oversee the recruitment of casual employees, as well as participate in the hiring process for other frontline positions to ensure the department has a full complement of employees.
Key Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
· Maintaining employee schedules
· Scheduling employees for planned/unplanned absences (e.g., sick, vacation)
· Scheduling and covering employees for staff development activities, client orientations, etc.
· Providing direct service as required
· Providing supervision and support to employees
· Ensuring client services are consistently implemented, instruction and intervention techniques are implemented appropriately, and services are provided in a manner that respects an individual’s culture, heritage, identity, etc.
· Completing all necessary administrative work related to employee supervision and client services
· Ensuring employees meet training requirements and receive regular performance evaluations
· Maintaining staffing levels to ensure excellent service provision which includes screening and interviewing candidates according to established procedures
· Mentoring and coaching employees
· Acquiring adequate knowledge of all clients served by DaCapo in order to provide competent direction to employees and contractors requiring on-call support
Qualifications:
· Human Services Degree, and/or Rehabilitation Diploma, and/or Related Diploma
· Minimum of two years direct frontline experience working with people with disabilities
· Supervisory experience
· Exceptional computer skills
· Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
· Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, registration and insurance ($2 000 000 liability insurance)
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Physically able to safely support individuals in activities such as lifting and transferring
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
· Proficiency in verbal and written English
· Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes
· The successful candidate will be required to provide a Police Information Check
