About the Role

GW Farms is hiring a dedicated team of short-term Field Planting Assistants to support our peak planting season. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for students seeking outdoor work, physical activity, and experience in large-scale agricultural operations.

This position focuses on intensive planting and early-season field establishment. Training is provided, and no previous agricultural experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Planting seedlings
• Walking crop rows
• Completing tasks safely during daytime or overnight shifts

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to walk long distances and perform physical tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Access to reliable transportation, as the farm is not accessible by public transit

Assets

• Interest in agriculture, biology, environmental science, or related fields
• Previous outdoor labour or farm experience
• Valid driver's licence

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
