Nortera Lethbridge is a manufacturing facility that processes and packages frozen vegetables. We harvest peas and corn locally as well as package different frozen vegetables grown in different regions.
We are currently hiring a dedicated Seasonal Production Supervisor. This position will be in charge of running and monitoring production reports during our busy harvest season.
Length of Contract: June - November (5 Months)
Schedule: Monday - Friday

Main Responsibilities / Tasks:

  • Ensure all production reports are completed correctly in a timely manner;
  • Arranges any and all training time needed including annual Standard Operating Procedures and Job Hazard Analysis packages;
  • Accountable for production quality and output;
  • Communicates effectively with other supervisors daily;
  • Upholds and be an example of safety at all times;
  • Coach employees on performance and communicate directly with the HR department and Plant Manager when issues arise;
  • Develop individual employees to become exemplary Bonduelle employees;
  • Provide support for schedules and organizes the direction of staff;
  • Follow systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure Senior management has all information when needed.

Job Requirements
Physical Requirements:

  • Stand/Walk for 8 hours
  • Squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, and use of ladders and stairs
  • Occasional lifting up to 50lbs/23kg
  • Occasional carrying up to 50lbs/23kg
  • Pushing up to 100lbs/45kg

Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Business Management degree is an asset
  • 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role (asset)
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Follow personal hygiene rules
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, and productivity
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills

Skills and Trainings:

  • Safety Knowledge;
  • Food Safety – HACCP, GMPs, Audit knowledge;
  • Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, and etc.)

Health and Safety Requirements:

  • Ensures all precautions necessary to protect the health and safety of every worker;
  • Ensures workers work in a manner compliant with the Occupational Health & Safety Act;
  • Ensures workers use all hazard controls;
  • Ensures none of the workers are subjected to or participate in harassment or violence at the work site;
  • Ensures sufficient training is provided in all matters necessary prior to beginning a work activity, using new equipment, or when transferring to a new role;
  • Ensures every worker is informed about all known or reasonably foreseeable hazards
  • Ensures every worker knows the process for reporting concerns about an unsafe or harmful act or condition;
  • Ensures full cooperation with any person exercising a duty imposed by the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Ensures the use of equipment safeguards.
