Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Technical Sales Representative. This individual can be based out of the Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, or surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Responsible for new business development as well as maintaining existing territory
- Prospect for new customers, set appointments and demonstrate product benefits
- Develops strategic relationships with customers to identify and leverage the customers’ business goals, growth strategies, and profit drivers and deliver the appropriate value proposition strategy
- Work with management to develop sales strategies and new business prospects
- Respond to customer product inquiries
- Engage in direct sales activities
- Promote existing and new products
- Anticipate client direction and objectives
- Manage a robust sales territory
- Maintain cooperative and productive team relationships
- Attend training and sales meetings as required
- Meet or exceed sales targets
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Preference will be given to individuals that show mechanical aptitude and have experience in Bearings and Power Transmission
- Be sales and service oriented
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner
- Have good organizational skills
- Ability to prospect for new clients
- Ability to utilize technology to source and find components and information
- Maintain customer relations and build new relationships
- Analytical and problem solving capability
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to build relationships with inside sales force
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Self motivated and the ability to work independently
- Deliver on growth and profitability
- Meet or beat annual sales goals
