Pad-Car Mechanical is Southern Alberta’s leading contractor in plumbing, heating, and ventilation design and installations—specializing in commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential work. We offer “one-stop” in-house services including design engineering/drafting, plumbing, gas fitting, sheet metal, and HVAC maintenance/repairs.
We’re hiring a dependable, organized team member to run day-to-day shop logistics: tool crib, shipping/receiving, deliveries, inventory organization—and fleet tracking to ensure vehicles are booked and stay on top of maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
Tool Crib / Shop Support
- Issue/track/receive tools and equipment; support crews with tool and material readiness
- Maintain shop inventory: put away, label, organize, cycle counts, and stock tracking
- Keep shop clean and organized; assist with basic building/yard upkeep
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive, verify, and put away shipments
- Pick/stage materials and prepare outgoing shipments
Deliveries & Trailer Handling
- Deliver/pick up materials to suppliers, the shop, and construction sites
- Safely pull and maneuver a trailer (including backing, loading, and securing)
- Operate forklift and shop equipment safely
Fleet Tracking
- Track fleet bookings to ensure vehicles are available when needed
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance and help manage repair drop-offs/pickups
- Maintain basic fleet records (service dates, repair notes, booking status)
Field Support
- Assist field staff as needed at our facility and on construction sites
Requirements
- Forklift experience (certification is an asset)
- Must be able to pull and maneuver a trailer confidently
- Valid driver’s license (clean abstract preferred)
- Organized, reliable, safety-minded; comfortable with physical work and occasional site support
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to work collaboratively with others (shop team and field crews)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
