Now Hiring: In-Person Private Tutors (Grades K–12) – Medicine Hat
Tutor Teach is currently seeking passionate, reliable, and engaging in-person private tutors to support students in Medicine Hat across Grades K–12. Our tutors play a vital role in helping students build confidence, strengthen skills, and reach their academic goals.
Position Overview:
Tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups with students, providing personalized academic support aligned with Alberta curriculum outcomes. Sessions take place in-person at student homes, schools, or community locations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized, curriculum-aligned tutoring sessions
- Create engaging, student-centred learning experiences
- Adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles
- Build strong rapport with students and families
- Track progress and provide feedback to families and Tutor Teach staff
- Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to support each learner
- Maintain professionalism and clear communication
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education (Education, Science, Arts, Kin, Commerce, Business, Engineering, etc. considered an asset)
- Strong academic background in one or more subject areas
- Experience working with children or youth (tutoring, teaching, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation for in-person sessions
- Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one)
