Vallen currently has a full time permanent opening for a Warehouse Driver in our Lethbridge Branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for basic warehouse operations as required
  • Loading and unloading materials in warehouse
  • Picking orders and preparing them for delivery
  • Monitoring and tracking inventory as per company procedures
  • General cleanup and other tasks as required
  • Adhering to standards/processes in warehouse operations
  • Performing other related duties and safety checks as required
  • The ability to meet deadlines for shipment ‘cut-off’ times to customers while simultaneously coordinating multiple projects.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player with the ability to work effectively with other warehouse personnel.
  • Follow proper company policies and procedures when handling paperwork and inventory.
  • Make deliveries as scheduled and perform additional duties (such as loading/unloading, order-picking and packing) as assigned by the warehouse supervisor.
  • Steel-toed boots are mandatory. When necessary, additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats and safety glasses are supplied.

The ideal candidate will have the following required qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse or retail experience considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Focus on customer service
  • Dexterity with small tools such as a utility knife
  • Excellent physical condition - ability to lift up to 60 lb.
  • Ability to operate a forklift is considered an asset
  • Hand/eye coordination
  • Prolonged standing/walking
  • Safe use of a ladder
  • The ability to exhibit team spirit in the branch, and effectively interface with department personnel, while working in a fast-paced environment.

Forklift certification and an understanding of ISO procedures, Workplace hazardous Materials information System (WHMIS) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations would be considered an asset.
