Summary

As a Warehouse Technician 3 you aren’t just moving freight; you are the tactical pulse of the operation. This is a high-impact role for seasoned operators who thrive in coordinating work in a complex warehouse environment. You are a primary link between the warehouse and the broader site network.

Base Requirements

  • Able and willing to pass a drug & alcohol test
  • No criminal record
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Important Information

  • This role is currently on a 14-14 rotation with 12-hour shifts. This means employees have 26 weeks off per year!
  • Flights are based out of Edmonton and Calgary.
  • Flights, accommodations and food while on site are all paid for. Accommodations are equipped with exercise rooms and free internet.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate equipment in the warehouse and field to conduct site deliveries and complete warehouse tasks.
  • Coordinate and work on site-related activities such as Shutdowns and Outages
  • Customer service – communicating with site business teams and work with multiple site teams to successfully complete work.
  • Collaborate with warehouse colleagues to ensure service levels of the broader Kearl warehouse network is successfully managed.
  • Shipping / reverse logistics duties performed in conjunction with Material Controllers to send to various sites and locations.
  • Quarantine and resolve material issues, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Inspect and verify incoming / outgoing material to and from various sites.
  • Perform updates in SAP / Warehouse Management Systems
  • Oversee loading and unloading of goods from various types of delivery vehicles.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years warehouse experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Class 1 or 3 license an asset
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
  • Excels under high pressure situations
  • Proven strong communication and personable nature
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word and Excel
  • SAP/equivalent inventory management program an asset

Working Conditions

  • Physically fit to handle both ‘on ice’ outdoor weather conditions as well as warehouse setting.
  • Must be comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Aspects of the role will require one to stand for extended periods of time, constantly lifting/picking/moving moderate to heavy materials, completing repetitive tasks with minimal breaks.
  • Handle heights; racks can be quite high. Ability to lift maximum 50 lbs.
  • Candidate may be required to complete fit-to-work test, based on client’s requirements.
  • Administrative duties will be required on a daily/weekly basis
