Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing various finishing tasks on construction projects, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing, masonry, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools. The Finisher will work closely with other trades to deliver exceptional results in renovation, restoration, and new construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform concrete finishing including smoothing, leveling, and texturing surfaces using hand tools and power tools
- Install rebar and assist with concrete forming processes according to schematics and blueprints
- Execute masonry tasks such as laying bricks or blocks and caulking to seal joints
- Operate heavy equipment safely for various construction tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Handle heavy lifting safely during material transport and placement
- Assist with flooring installation, welding, and other renovation or restoration activities as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, rebar installation, masonry, carpentry, or related construction fields
- Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of welding, flooring installation, caulking, and concrete forming is a plus
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and work effectively within a team environment
