Acme Fire Safety is seeking Fire Alarm Service Inspection Technician to add to the team. The Technician performs all service and testing activities as assigned, and ensures that all service calls are completed according to the prescribed guidelines and processes. The Technician at times may need to assist with Installations. Additionally, the Technician is required to complete assigned paperwork and billing materials within the allocated time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection activities on electrical fire alarm systems.
- Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics and operational/product manuals.
- Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer specifications.
- Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems
- Provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective methods to return equipment to working order.
Requirements and Skills:
- Technicians shall have experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Alarm industry
- Technicians hall have CFAA Certification or comparable qualification
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
- Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license
- Knowledge of Notifier systems is an asset
- Excellent Customer Service
- Customer service focused with ability to adapt to changing customer needs
- You have a desire to problem-solve and help the customer meet their needs.
- You demonstrate a professional and pleasant attitude when faced with a frustrated customer
- Basic computer skills are a requirement
- Manlift certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of older fire alarm panels/special hazard/releasing panels and systems is an asset but not required.

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
