Power Serv Engine & Compressor Repair is looking to fill the role of a heavy duty mechanic, Automotive Mechanic. Will consider 3rd and 4th year apprentice with the appropriate qualifications. This is a diverse role requiring experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing natural gas heavy duty equipment.
POSITION: Journeyman/Heavy Duty Mechanic/ Automotive Mechanic
JOB TYPE: FULL TIME
EDUCATION: JOURNEYMAN MECHANIC OR HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the day-to-day operation of a field service truck
- Perform field diagnosis, troubleshooting and repairs on natural gas engines & compressors
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Interact with customers, and the rest of the Power Serv team
Education & Experience:
- Journeyperson Mechanic or Certified Heavy Equipment Technician
- Good working knowledge of natural gas engines & compressors
- Experience working in the field of natural gas engines and compressors will be considered an asset
- Experience with Waukesha, Cummins & Caterpillar engines along with Ariel, Frick & Sullair compressors will be considered an asset
- Experience working with Generators or a willingness to learn

- Well organized with good attention to detail
- Strong communication & customer service skills
- Strong field troubleshooting skills
- A willingness to be flexible with scheduling, including overtime, as well as be part of an on-call schedule
- Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
