At Subcool Mechanical, we're a leading provider of plumbing and gasfitting services, specializing in remote camp installations and maintenance. We are currently seeking experienced Apprentice Plumbers/Gasfitters to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Install and service plumbing and gas systems in remote camps
- Work with PVC, HDPE, PEX, and ABS piping materials
- Diagnose, install, and repair plumbing fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems
- Test systems for leaks and perform necessary repairs
- Ensure compliance with local and provincial safety regulations
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot gas lines and propane systems, ensuring adherence to safety codes
- Replace non-compliant equipment to meet current safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized worksite and uphold high standards of quality and safety
Job Requirements:
- Journeyman: must have their Journeyman Ticket
- Apprentices: must be enrolled in or have completed a plumbing/gasfitting apprenticeship program
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Attention to detail and precision in all tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in various conditions
- Other Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License (preferred)
- Willingness to travel 100% to remote locations
- Ability to depart from Edmonton, Alberta
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time for work assignments
