Our fleet includes pneumatic tankers, flat decks, step deck and curtain side trailers, vans, side dump and end dump trailers.
We are currently seeking a Night Shift Dispatcher to join our Bulk Pneumatic Division at our Medicine Hat terminal in Alberta.
This position works a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, consisting of 12-hour night shifts, providing excellent work-life balance with half the year off.
As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating freight movements from order entry through to final delivery and billing readiness. You will work closely with drivers, customers, maintenance personnel, and operations staff to ensure freight is moved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. As the successful candidate, you will be self-motivated, results driven and a team player.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enter customer orders into the AS400 dispatch system and build driver manifests
- Dispatch and monitor drivers throughout the transportation process
- Maintain communication with drivers and customers regarding load status and delivery updates
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and backhaul opportunities
- Ensure proof of delivery (POD) documentation is received and entered accurately for billing
- Coordinate equipment servicing and maintenance requirements
- Approve billable hours for payroll processing
- Proactively identify operational issues and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate dispatch and operational records
- Deliver exceptional customer service while building strong customer relationships
Qualifications:
- Previous dispatch experience in the transportation industry is required
- Experience with AS400 dispatch systems is considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
