Join Western Ag Systems as a Project Manager focusing on innovative agriculture projects.
This is more than a project management role – it’s an opportunity to shape the infrastructure that supports producers, strengthens rural communities, and helps feed a growing world.
We are looking for a driven, solutions-focused Project Manager to lead the delivery of agricultural infrastructure projects throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. Be it grain handling facilities, poultry facilities, dairy barns, swine production facilities you’ll be at the center of bringing ambitious ideas to life.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Sales and customers to define project scope, objectives, budgets, and timelines
- Coordinate internal resources subcontractors, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Develop detailed project schedules and execution plans, consistently following up on projects to make sure they are hitting pertinent milestones.
- Manage logistics material deliveries to project sites throughout SK and AB.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Select, evaluate, and manage subcontractors while monitoring performance, approving invoices, and verifying subcontractor is maintaining quality standards.
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep projects on schedule and on budget.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting.
- Track progress and communicate updates to customers, management, and key stakeholders
- Monitor project costs, approve expenditures, and recommend corrective action when required.
- Ensure projects meet financial objectives and contractual requirements
- Promote a safe, professional, and customer focused project environment.
What You’ll Bring
- PMP designation or working towards a certification is considered an asset
- Experience managing construction, industrial, agricultural or infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and financial management skills
- A willingness to travel throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta as projects require.
