Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable tech to provide all types of home repair services and small renovations. Also experience in Permanent Outdoor Lighting Installation would be an asset as this role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting outdoor lighting systems to enhance the aesthetic and security of residential and commercial properties.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to work quickly without supervision, and experience working with various tools. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors and indoors on diverse projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met consistently.
Duties
- Appliance installation and delivery, home plumbing and lighting fixture replacements, mounting accessories on walls, alignment/ installation of doors and cabinets.
- Install permanent outdoor lighting systems while working off ladders at heights using fall protection.
- Small home renovations, like bathroom and kitchen upgrades.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently
- Use smartphone app to document time and expenses, Assist customers in the app setup related to lighting control systems
- Conduct system testing to ensure proper operation and troubleshoot any issues that arise during or after installation
- Collaborate with clients to ensure satisfaction with completed projects
Requirements
- Self Employed - This position will be a subcontract position and the subcontractor will be required to provide truck and basic handyman tools (specialty tools and equipment will be provided by the company).
- Able to work at heights on roofs or on any type of ladder.
- Home repair knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for troubleshooting issues efficiently, able to research solutions on their own.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for job site travel, truck or SUV will be required to drive from job to job, some jobs may require company trailer towed to location.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Prior experience with computer hardware or schematics is advantageous but not mandatory
- Use of smartphone is required for work order management and expenses tracking.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
