Full job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys working with financial information, and is comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day accounting activities.
The Accounting Technician will be responsible for reviewing and overseeing the work of a third-party data entry provider, processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and monitor the work of a third-party data entry provider to ensure transactions are accurate, complete, and properly recorded.
- Process vendor invoices and prepare and coordinate timely payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to support timely collections.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end processes, financial reporting, and other accounting activities as required.
- Work collaboratively with internal team members and external service providers to ensure the smooth and timely flow of financial information.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Professional communication skills and a high level of integrity and accountability.

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
