Half-time Educational Assistant (3 hours per day)

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working with students with diverse needs
• Understanding of the escalation cycle
• Ability to form strong relationships with students,
• Seeing the best in every student in an inclusive school setting
• Assisting and supporting students through individual support plans and/or behaviour support plans
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
• Willingness to work as part of a team, take direction and follow student and classroom programs
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
• Ability to work in a flexible learning environment and make adjustments for classroom or individual child needs
• Supervision duties (recess, classroom, lunch, etc.)
• We will require all successful applicants to provide a police record check with vulnerable sector check and an intervention record check
• Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience
