Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
• Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
• Support food handling procedures with proper storage, labeling, and inventory management
• Assist with dishwashing duties to ensure timely cleanup and maintain a hygienic environment
• Follow all safety protocols related to food preparation, knife handling, and equipment use
• Contribute to menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques when needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices
• Strong knife skills and ability to handle various kitchen tools safely
• Experience with meal preparation, catering support, or restaurant work is advantageous
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Understanding of food handling regulations and food safety standards
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
