Job Summary
Deluxe Central Taxi is looking for a reliable, organized, and calm-under-pressure Dispatcher to join our team in Medicine Hat. As the voice and nerve center of our operation, you will manage incoming calls, coordinate ride bookings, and communicate efficiently with our drivers to ensure prompt, professional service for our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Communications: Answer multi-line phone calls, emails, and digital booking requests from customers professionally and efficiently.
Coordinate Dispatch Operations: Utilize dispatch software (iCabbi) to assign rides, monitor vehicle locations, and optimize driver routes.
Problem Solving: Handle customer inquiries, schedule advance bookings, and troubleshoot any on-road schedule changes or driver questions with a calm, level head.
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate logs of trips, fares, and shift activities, ensuring clear communication between shifts.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Previous dispatch, customer service, or high-volume administrative experience is an asset (though training is provided).
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating dispatch software, mapping applications, and multi-line phone systems.
Communication Skills: Clear, professional telephone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills.
Multitasking Ability: The capacity to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are essential for this role.
