LETHBRIDGE - Community Support Worker

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with daily living skills
  • Casual/relief for various shifts (day, evening, weekend)
  • Involving the clients in community-based activities
  • Working in residential and non-residential settings with clients
  • Efficient documentation and time management skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of rehab experience in residential or non-residential programs required OR 2 years experience in the human services sector
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and vehicle with 3rd party $2 million liability insurance required
  • Must have a clear Criminal Record Check prior to hiring and two work-related references
  • CPI, PBI and ASIST considered an asset
  • Ability to effectively manage behaviors an asset
  • Experience working with personal care an asset
  • Valid Work/Study Permit ( If applicable )

Independent Counselling Enterprises (I.C.E.) is a province-wide agency that has been in operation since 1986. We offer supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. We are community based and strive to empower and foster independence in our clients. We are currently seeking a Community Support Worker to work casual/relief in both residential and non-residential settings. The Community Support Worker must be able to drive our clients within the city.
