Help grow a greener & healthier community, one tree at a time. As a Growing Canada's Community Canopies Assistant, you'll play a meaningful role in expanding urban tree cover, supporting environmental stewardship, and helping shape the public spaces that residents enjoy every day.
What you'll do
- Contribute directly to the successful delivery of the Growing Canada's Community Canopies (GCCC) program, supporting the planting and care of hundreds of trees across the community.
- Help ensure accurate tracking and reporting of program outcomes by collecting, recording, and organizing data that supports informed decision‑
- Support the coordination and delivery of trees to community partners, including schools and the public, helping foster community engagement and environmental awareness.
- Assist with monitoring tree planting initiatives in public park spaces, contributing to long‑term sustainability and canopy growth goals.
- Play a key role in day‑to‑day program support, helping keep projects moving efficiently and safely.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program.
- Working knowledge of GIS/GPS technology and comfort capturing data points
- A minimum of one (1) month experience in Parks related activities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with an acceptable driving record.
- Available to work a full-time schedule from May to August 28.
- This position has been identified as Safety Sensitive and requires the completion of a satisfactory pre-employment drug screen, which includes testing for cannabis use
