Job Summary: Responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms and public areas for occupancy in compliance with the high standards established within the hotel system. Detail oriented individual with the ability to work with the housekeeping team as well as independently in a fast-paced environment. Job Accountabilities: Interacting with guests in a courteous and efficient manner striving to meet or exceed guests’ expectations. Stocking housekeeping carts with the required products to adequately clean the next day. Cleaning assigned rooms according to hotel standards. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, washing dishes and dusting furniture. Placing and restocking useable items in the rooms including paper items, soap, towels, linens, comment cards and candy according to the hotel standards. Reporting any product shortages to the executive housekeeper. Completing the Room Attendant Daily Report correctly identifying the status of each assigned room and reporting any maintenance problems or product shortages. Reporting discrepancies in room status to Executive Housekeeper. Operating housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner. Ensuring familiarity and complying with the hotel safety and emergency procedures. Maintaining security for guests and property. Performing other tasks as assigned by the executive housekeeper such as deep cleaning, seasonal cleaning and training of other employees. Complying with the hotel’s Occupational and Health Safety Guidelines and Regulations. Job Qualifications: None. Will train applicant but must be able to lift the equivalent of 50 lbs.
