Housekeeper (10 positions) – SureStay by Best Western
Sun City Hotels Ltd is scaling. Fast.
We operate the award‑winning Best Western Premier / Executive Residency, currently ranked the #1 hotel in Medicine Hat, and we are in the process of renovating and rebranding a newly acquired hotel into a SureStay by Best Western.
We are hiring 10 Housekeepers/Laundry Attendants.
This is not just a “clean the rooms” role. This is an own the guest experience opportunity.
What You’ll Own
- Guest rooms: Clean and sanitize assigned guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, emptying garbage, and restocking amenities.
- Bathrooms: Clean and disinfect tubs/showers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors; replenish towels, toiletries, and amenities to brand standards.
- Public areas: Maintain lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairwells, public washrooms, and other common areas (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, garbage and recycling).
- Laundry support: Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and towels as required to support daily operations.
- Room readiness: Report maintenance issues, missing items, or damage promptly so rooms can be returned to inventory quickly and safely.
- Guest interaction: Respond politely and promptly to guest requests, respecting privacy and security protocols.
- Safety and compliance: Follow all safety, WHMIS, and sanitation procedures, including proper use of chemicals and equipment.
What We’re Looking For
- 6–12+ months of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (hotel experience an asset; we will train the right person).
- Strong attention to detail and personal pride in leaving rooms and public areas spotless.
- Physical ability to be on your feet for most of the shift, bend, reach, push housekeeping carts, and lift up to ~25–30 lb.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently to meet daily room/area assignments.
- A respectful, team‑oriented approach and professional communication with guests and colleagues.

Role Details
- Positions: 10 Housekeepers/Laundry Attendants
- Schedule: Mix of AM and PM shifts, including weekends and some holidays, based on posted schedules and business needs
- Employment: Permanent; combination of full‑time and part‑time roles available
- Location: Medicine Hat, AB
- Worksites: Must be willing and able to work at either of our Medicine Hat hotel locations, depending on business needs
- Must currently reside in the area (or be relocating to Medicine Hat) and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
